A True Turtle Story

What if the turtle was asked how she showed such guts to participate in the race with the rabbit?

Yes, only the turtle could tell.

But we can guess ;

Maybe she did not participate in or consider it a race at all.

May be she was enjoying the challenge and did not have to win it. Just wanted to finish it with her pace. Just wanted to be called as “successful finisher” in history.

In the same way Nivy the 45 year old girl, yes, 'a girl' a happy go person was swaying with her 40+ childhood. She was quite unaware of the terminologies like MTB, disk brake, BRM or Hybrid, few months ago.

Has been a sports lover but would never try her self in sports. But she did and that too at this age.

Gradually she has realised that there is a difference between the cycle of school days and today's new wave sports cycle, but the fun is the same. And childhood happiness also came around with a cycle wheel.

During last 3 months, she learnt a lot about the technical aspects of cycling with help of her kind hearted co-riders, and also about "Virtual Challenges", which is now become a popular due to pandemic. And with the virtue of that she has participated in many challenges without knowing much about it and her capabilities. But she did, because she gets motivated to measure the miles by participating in challenge events.

In "Long Rides", it is considered right to go out of the city and ride on the long and straight trails. Which maintains the average speed of a pro-cyclists and also keeps them away from the hustle and bustle of city.

But her long rides happens in midst of the city only, passes through the busiest route and has also come in traffic thumps.

Why so?

Because her low pace riding can fret or bother any good fast co rider, so why someone should compromise for her. So better to ride solo, near to her house so in emergency family can reach her in jiffy.

So she sets her challenge schedule and makes her own riding. Most of the day, riding starts at 6 am and finishes sometime at 4 pm or 7pm or 11 pm.

She rides with her own way, while admiring her new luster, talking to the people on the roads, enjoying the food and drink.

Finishes her ride successfully and with exhausted heart at the end of the day she posts her pictures and videos to motivate others...just to conveying the message that "if she can, then anyone can, it is not at all a big deal" .

New Wave Cycling creates a trend with high speed and long trails. But let many "turtles" like her set their own trend, with an average - average speed with wide smile with city endurance ride.

let the winner takes it all, let the rabbit win and at the same time let the finisher have a smile on her own achievement,

let the turtle take her own trails.

बस, स्वयं को स्वयं से बेहतर करना है ।
